Wildlife RIB Safari for two, Islay

Islay’s coastline has a lot to offer so what better way to see it than on a RIB ride! This experience is the perfect way to witness the beauty of Islay and a great opportunity to see the amazing wildlife that lives on and visits the island.

Upon arrival, you’ll meet your skipper who’ll run through the safety procedure and kit you up with a life jacket. Now it is time to hop aboard and venture out onto the waters!

You’ll marvel at the remarkable, rugged, coastline as you pass three major distilleries on the island- Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg. Carrying up the coast you’ll come across the special area of conservation, only viewable from the sea. Here you will meet some of the ‘locals’… a colony of almost a thousand seals; from June there will also be seal pups splashing about!

Seals are not the only wildlife that takes up residence on Islay. On and around the coast there is an abundance of wildlife including deer, otters, dolphins, basking sharks, sea eagles and many other birds of prey.

This really is the best way to see what Islay has to offer and is sure to be a fun and exciting day out!
