Riverbugs are a unique white water experience that have travelled all the way from New Zealand to the rivers of Perthshire. Riverbugs are best described as inflatable armchairs and are an exciting and at times, chaotic, way to navigate the rapids, eddies and flumes of the River Tay!

Upon arrival, you will meet your instructor who will provide you with your wetsuit, safety gear, flippers and paddle mitts and the all important safety instruction to allow you to make the most of your trip. You will then be launched into the river where you and your group will venture downstream.

Up stream the waters are quieter, allowing you to get used to your bug and practicing manoeuvres and techniques. But down stream the rapids await and you’ll soon be riding over ‘The Zoom Flume’ ‘Washing Machine’ and ‘Eddie Fences’ on the course. Look out for standing waves and pool-drops, which are guaranteed to make your trip even more extreme!
