The Bridges and Islands Speedboat Trip

Welcome on-board this high-speed RIB tour on the River Forth. This 30 minute trip is a high speed tour around the River Forth at South Queensferry and is a fun experience for family and friends!

Departing from Port Edgar at South Queensferry, the first and most imposing sight is the existing Forth Road Bridge and Victorian Forth Rail Bridge. Initially travelling up-river, you’ll explore the site of the new Forth Road Bridge, witnessing the construction of Scotland’s biggest engineering project.

Turning east, you’ll experience unparalleled views of the rail bridge as you pass underneath and trains travel overhead between North and South Queensferry. Built in 1890, the Forth Rail Bridge was the largest cantilever bridge in the world and was the only crossing of the Forth until the road bridge over 70 years later.

Look out for the fantastic abundance of wildlife that lives in the river including Seals, Porpoise and wide range of wild seabirds.

Your trip will finish with a high speed circuit of Inverkeithing Bay & Inchgarvie Island and, if you’re lucky or choose your dates wisely, you may get up close with one of the many cruise ships that anchor in the river each year.

Your Skipper will ensure you have the best trip possible, whether it’s blasting over the water at up to 40 mph or spotting the wildlife and history on the River Forth.
