A truly unique experience in Scotland! Dumfries and Galloway is full of amazing wildlife from roe deer to badgers to nightjars. With the help of professional, hand held, night vision and thermal imaging observation equipment, witness an incredible array of wildlife up close as they go about their nightly routines.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your friendly and knowledgeable tour guides who will explain to you the animals that you are most likely to see. You’ll be given a demonstration on how to use the equipment needed to see the wildlife at night and instruction on how to obtain the best results. Everyone in the group will be provided with their own hand held observation equipment with video capture devices allowing you to record footage in the field, on foot or in the vehicle.

When you are comfortable using the equipment it is time to board the specially prepared Land Rover Defender 4×4, where the guides will activate the on-board thermal imaging camera. You’ll then depart to one of the designated tour locations where you and the tour guides will be able to observe and identify any wildlife on route.

Once you’ve reached the location, you’ll exit the vehicle and set off on foot into the darkness with your handheld thermal camera. Your guides will be on hand to show you the best places to go and ensure everyone gets the most from their experience.

The group tour footage is edited and copied on to a memory stick and sent out by post so you can relive your experience and share it with friends and family.
