Prepare your bow and arrow, pull back and shoot! Archery is an ancient and elegant sport that is great fun and this experience is perfect for beginner to intermediate level.

At the start of the session, your qualified archery coach will provide all the necessary safety and basic training required for this challenging skill. You’ll be given safety gear and your equipment, namely your bow and arrows! Using modern recurve bows designed specifically for taster target archery, you’ll be shown the basics and techniques to help you hit gold.

You’ll require both skill and a steady hand to direct the arrows to the target. It’s a rewarding experience silently knocking the arrow, drawing back the bow and witnessing the flight and precision of a truly impressive weapon. Your hand-to-eye coordination will be put to the test as you load, aim and shoot your arrows. As you practice and develop your skills you’ll be impressed by the immense satisfaction of hitting the gold. But are you the next Robin Hood or Katniss Everdeen?! Only time will tell.

Once you’ve built up some confidence challenge the group and your instructor to a competition to see how close to the target you can get! This experience takes place just outside Portree on the misty Isle of Skye which is the perfect setting for this incredible sport.
