Situated near the sea front of North Berwick, The School of Floristry is one of the few places in Scotland to offer workshops in sterling silver and sea glass jewellery-making. This is the perfect course for complete beginners and for those who have some experience and will find the sterling silver and sea glass combination interesting.

Upon arrival you’ll be greeted by your friendly tutor and shown to your classroom which will be set up with everything you will need for the day. The classes are provided by silversmiths who are trained at the acclaimed Edinburgh College of Art. They are passionate about their craft and they aim to provide high quality tuition in a relaxed and informal setting.

The workshops focus on sterling silver jewellery incorporating sea glass and shells collected from East Lothian’s beaches. The silver, sea glass and shells are all provided, but you are welcome to bring  your own sea glass if you have your own particular favourite pieces. You tutor will expertly guide you through the step-by-step processes of making a range of jewellery from earrings to necklaces to bracelets.

This is a fun and creative way to learn more about the art of jewellery and there is tea, coffee and light refreshments available throughout the day. At the end of the class you’ll get to take home all your creations in a presentation box to give as a gift or show off to your friends and family.
