This is an amazing and memorable trip from Inverness out to the Moray Firth to look for dolphins and other wildlife.

Upon arrival, you’ll all be welcomed and shown to the cruiser for the experience. The boat is fully accessible and has two levels with spectacular views. There are seats on both as well as an indoor heated room on the bottom level. To begin you will all be on the bottom level to hear a short safety briefing.

Once completed, your skipper will take the boat out of the Marina and in to the Beauly Firth, towards the Caledonian Canal. At this point you are welcome to wander around the boat and head to the upper deck to see the amazing views of Inverness and the surrounding area.

During the trip, your friendly guide will be on hand to provide a running commentary about the wildlife and Inverness area. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have and also provide fun facts about the dolphins and wildlife of the area. There are also fun sheets to fill in when you spot the different sights and animals.

The boat then turns and heads out to the Inverness Firth, under the Kessock Bridge and out as far as Munlochy Bay. Here you will pass the Black Isle and hear the fascinating history of the area. All the time you and your fellow passengers will be looking out for the delightful array of wildlife including seals, otters and seabirds like cormorants, terns, and guillemots.

The stars, of course, are the Bottlenose Dolphins and their smaller cousins the Harbour Porpoises that inhabit the area. You’ll be able to find out more about the dolphin population in the Inner Moray Firth and try to catch glimpses of these amazing animals. As frequent visitors in the water the dolphins are familiar with the boat and have been known to come up close to say hello!
