Aurora Boutique Hotel was originally built in 1803 by the Hamilton family as an elegant Georgian family home called Berkeley House. In the summer of 2015 it was transformed into an exquisite Boutique Hotel, Restaurant & Champagne Bar.

As a listed building it was important to retain the Georgian style whilst bringing it up to modern age living. The rooms have each been given an individual style and have all the conveniences of modern day living. Located in the centre of Ayr, the hotel overlooks Wellington Gardens and is a short walk to the greens and Ayr beach.

Aurora’s aim is to offer luxury, peace and relaxation, which will begin upon arrival. You’ll be met by the friendly staff who will show you to your room. With this experience you can stay in the McEwan, McAllistair or McKenzie Rooms.

Each room is located in the Mews house, which has a warm welcoming ambience and is adjacent to the main building. The rooms provide the ultimate retreat and have all the necessary requirements to make your stay luxurious. They have been carefully furnished with the best quality furniture and décor to match and include complimentary 24hr WiFi/internet access, toiletries, fresh towels, dressing gowns and slippers.

In the evening you’ll head down to the open plan restaurant where you can enjoy a beautiful two course meal from the table d’hôte. The menu offers a range of sophisticated dishes with British and Thai themes and everything is locally produced and carefully prepared.There is a lively and friendly atmosphere, which will ensure you enjoy your meal and be ready to enjoy it all again at breakfast!
