Archery and Clay Combo Experience, Edinburgh or Turnberry

Enjoy a field sports experience that allows you to combine the ancient, elegant, sport of archery as well as the noble sport of clay shooting! This amazing experience is available either at Turnberry Resort or at a beautiful estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Upon arrival at your chosen activity centre, you will be greeted by your instructor who will first kit you out in ear defenders and eye protectors for your clay shooting session. The clay shooting range is purpose built, offering a variety of ‘birds’, including crossing, incoming and away. Your instructor will be a member of BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation) and so will expertly teach you how to shoot your 25 cartridges at unlimited clays! (Additional cartridges are available for purchase on site on the day.)

You will next move on to archery for which you’ll require both skill and a steady hand to hit the bull’s eye! Your instructor will provide you with a ‘recurve bow’ that will be appropriately sized to you and will give you all the necessary safety and basic training required for this challenging skill. It is then time to put your training to practice and see how near to the target you can get.

Your tutor will make sure that you get the best from your equipment and enjoy the session. Understandably, safety is of the up most importance on this experience.
