The Tank Driving and 4×4 Off-Road Package

This multi-vehicle driving experience brings you face to face with some serious military metal. You’ll be at the command of an ex-British army tank and behind the wheel of a rugged 4×4 vehicle for the ultimate off-road drive.

At the start of the experience, you’ll get your field briefing before getting dressed in overalls for your ‘mission’ ahead.

432 APC ex-military tank
In the pilots seat, you’ll learn to drive the tank across terrain best suited to the 432 APC tank, where it feels most at home! The course has been built to reflect the challenging terrain that the tank was built for. Driving through taxing water courses over steep inclines, expect to be at the helm for over 20 minutes.

4 x 4 Off Road Vehicle
Then swap vehicles from the APC to a 4 x 4 Off Road Vehicle. You will learn the basics of handling in an off-road situation including the correct use of the gears, low and high range, diff lock and braking & steering techniques in a variety of different conditions and off road environments. Expect to be behind the wheel for 30 minutes.

Duration:

1 hour experience time - please allow up to 1.5 hours for your visit

Weather:

Runs selected weekends all year round. Can be done in most weather conditions (snow may affect the event)

Restrictions:

Min age 17. Driver must be at least 5ft. Full drivers license required for 4x4

Spectators:

Spectators can ride in the tank for £10 (payable on the day)
